Notes: Wife's truck, used to be a carnival mule for J.A.Blash in Fontana CA.
Wifey bought it, I drove it to hell and back lost it to the cops twice.
Currently after sitting on and off for 14 years, New engine G180/200 conversion.
Complete and ready to roll after alot of cleanup and paint.
Drove her to Kentucky and back. blew head gasket in Eric Oklahoma met nice country folk thanks Cork! Cork's Conoco I-40 Eric, OK
Went to prison for 4 years came home and still got her! Wifey too!
Someday she'll belong to my boy, My only child.
Want to get it done by time he is 16. I'm a broke ass dick with a big heart and small brain and hella heart for things that are meaningfull and I want my boy to have what I always wanted.
Never had the money to do it right so its slaped shackeled together out of parts from everywhere and built with lots of luv and good intentions but very little money, most of the parts are contributions from good hearted folks that wanna help.
I would like to give back by seeing the look on my boy's face when I hand him the pink to "Dad's old truck"
maybe then I will have made up for some of the fucked up things I've done and people I have hurt.
But, right now, I as broke as ever and on parole and so she sits wasting the precious time again.
Like a scrotum there it is in a nutshell.
Peace |

Notes: The Things I like about my LUV is that it is nice and simple. it also saves gas when driving at a good speed. Also I like the appearance of it, to me it is a one of a kind. The thing that I like best about it is it's small block that is easy to maintain. |

Notes: I just purchased this truck. It has 82K miles on a well kept diesel engine,but.... I need to get front end parts for it,ie; fenders, bumpers, doors, grille and core suppot and hood. This truck is well worth the time and effort I need to put into it to get "road worthy" once again. |

LUV: 1976 Daily Driver

Location: Willcox,

Notes: My LUV is a mixture of a lot of trucks. The engine is out of an 1980, and the bed is from a 1978. The transmission is a 5 speed out of a desiel chevette. The transmission bolted right to the engine but it need a custom driveshaft made for it. The only problem the gears are for a desiel. 3rd gear is too close to 4th,but 5th gear is nice while driving on the freeway.
My LUV also has air conditioning, it is out of an OPAL GT.It has bucket seats and I discovered that 6x9 speakers fit perfectly in the holes on the side aft of the doors just above the lower seat belt mounts!
My LUV was in a head on accident with a Chevy K5 Blazer when my aunt owned it. She was fine thanks to the LUVs frame. I bought it from her and rebuilt it. The truck used to rebuild it was a 1980 and it was white the 1976 was orange so it had that wrecking yard look to it. I never noticed how bad it looked untill my dad drove it to Tucson AZ and I followed in my Suburban. After I saw it from the outside driving I knew I had to paint it right a way! So I painted it to match my Suburban, gray with a white cap. Now it looks sharp and I get complements on it. I like my LUV, I've driven it for almost 11 years. The longest trip I've made in it was from Idaho to Arizona.....non stop! In 32 hours! I think the Chevy LUV is the BEST of the baby trucks! |
