Notes: "Mikey" is a 1979 ordered from factory 4x4 mikado. He was ordered by 1st owner "Michael" in Bend, Oregon. Mikey has taken care of me and my family since 1991. Since i first purchased him in 1991 as my first truck at 18 (im 2nd and 5th owner), he has been a tank. never had to put studs on in winter, shifts into and out of 4 hi to 2 hi on-the-fly. a boyfriend was jealous and made me choose, unfortunately bye mikey, but it went to my dad (who mikey evidently didnt like, or he was throwing a temper tamptrum). dad sold it to my 6' 6" Grandfather, who fell in love with him, completely going through it and replaced all gaskets, seals, etc. When he passed away, my second husband bought it back for me, knowing how much one's first "luv" means (he definitely is not a jealous guy, or knows his place lol) also having the history, and now its a "family heirloom" it means even more to us. now, my daughter will inherit mikey in about 2 years. i may need to find a new baby then. until then we are fixing him up.

Notes: Bought this truck new in October 1980. Paid $6000.00. Salesman clinched the deal by throwing in the tonneau cover free. Currently has 74,500 original miles. Added chrome wheels in 1984 and reupholstered bench seat in 2002. Everything else is original. Still use the truck for light hauling. This baby is still a head turner, even here in the heart of pickup country.

Notes: I just bought my first luv it has the stock motor in it and it doesnt work so the first thing im getting is a chevy 305 for more power then im going to work on the rust spots i mean sure its not pretty like all the other trucks but its a work in progress. after i get it running the first thing i plan to do is race my friend that for some reason thinks his 305 camaro will beat my luv so we will see about that.
