LUV: 1976 Street
Name: Dan Redd
Location: Winchester, IN USA
Forum Name: Dan
Notes: I have owned my truck twice, I have owned it 28 of it's 30 years. Corvette yellow, 350 with TH350. It has had a V8 since the early 80s. Stock rearend, digital instruments, the bed has an interior with battery in the front corner and stainless fuel cell between the wheel wells. Very little rust has ever formed on it, never wrecked. It has all the original sheet metal except the doors are off a 1977. (no wind wings)I spent many years building it. I built it like a model. Attention to every single piece, this was in the early 90s. It has not moved since 2000. I want very much to pull it out of storage in the spring of 2006. Put a gear in it so I can drive it at highway speeds. The Luv trucks that had factory automatics had 4.11 gears, I have the 4.56 ratio and live in the country, want to get to town without making the motor beg for mercy.

Notes: This 1981 diesel has 142,000 miles and my Grandfather fell in "LUV" with this little red wagon in Goshen, IN and took it off the Chevy lot in 1981. When he fell sick my stepfather got it and drove it to work and back for over 15 years and now I have it and do the same. One day it will be my sons because that diesel will never stop.

LUV: 1979 Street
Name: Christopher S. Hague
Location: Cabot, AR USA
Notes: I am from Arkansas and have never seen another Luv truck. I have a 1979 Luv that is a 4x4, and I am trying to convet it to a 4x2 and put a 350ci in it with a turbo 400. I want to make it a real street truck that is somewhat forgiving for the powert output in such a light truck. I am having a hard time finding parts and suppliers. If any one has any info that would be much appreciated. I could go for some new lights, and maybe a grill or a fender. My E-mail address is z28freak95@yahoo.com. Feel free to send me anything you guys got. Christopher S Hague,

LUV: 1978 Daily Driver
Name: Michael Parsons
Location: Box Elder, SD USA
Forum Name: Buggsy
Notes: I have had this strong little work horse for quite some time. It was once the only vehicle I had.I would use it for everything, from hauling kids, toys, firewood and towing car trailers with stuff that would out weigh it by twice, and he would not give up on me. I would let others use it, no telling what relatives put it through and it still would not give up. Over the years I put a few new body parts on and regular maintenance, he would not give up! I finely hurt it at 216k. I am trying to find new body parts to revive him. Any help on web sites or manuals with these parts would be great. The little MIKADO will be handed down, hopefully looking as good as he runs. He has a 1.8 and it will be new again someday, Nothing like a face lift though.

LUV: 1977 Street
Name: Lucas Wright
Location: Robinson, TX USA
Forum Name: BlackGold
Notes: Hi My name is Lucas Wright. Im 15 I recently got a 1977 Chevy Luv SS. It has an all chrome 350/350 Edelbrock Crate Engine with 1500 miles on it with a 600 Holly carb, a 400 Turbo Trans, and 4:10 gears in the rear. There nothing stock about this LUV. The whole bed on the truck is fiber glass and the hood is carbon fiber with a 3" Kowl Induction (also carbon fiber). The piant job on this truck in very unique. Its a special black with blue glitter with high gloss(its called black gold). The bed liner of this truck is all Dimond Plate so its very shiny. On top of the dimond plate sits the fuel cell and the battery box(we had to put it in the back for more space under the hood)-its all chrome too. To cover it all up from rain and other precipitaion sits a bed cover with Tailgator Acuatiors to lift it with a push of a button. As far as the wheels and tires are concerd we have 16" MAG wheels wrapped with Goodyear Eagle GT II's. The rear tires are 60 series and 12" wide! For the interior we have some custom made seats with chevy bow ties stiched into it(the seats match the piant perfect). The dash and metal and the interior is a matallic silver color. The instrument panel has been taken out and replaced and has red LED digital gagues now and it lights up the whole truck at night(its awsome!). The hurst shifter lights up LED red also! And to top it all off we put chrome traction bars under it so if someone pull next to ya at the light you got a little extra edge on the compition! Hope ya like it what your heard! If ya want to ask me any questions Email me at Weightz101@aim.com or just send me a PM in the forums my name is Blackgold! Later, Lucas
