LUV: 1979 Daily Driver
Name: David Ellingford
Location: Evanston, WY USA
Notes: My 1979 luv pickup has a 2.4 isuzu diesel in it. It gets around 23 mpg. in town, and around 30 on the highway. It is almost 100% rust free, and has 305,000 miles. The five speed behind it really made a difference. How ever the diesel is coming out, and a 1.999 lt. gas engine is going to replace it. the only fowl up is that the starter is mounted on difference sides of the engines so the five will have com out as well. it is that ugly yellow color but will be pained white for convience reasons up here in wyoming, that is the only color that will stay clean the longest

LUV: 1976 Street
Name: Eric Wolvers
Location: Altoona, IA USA
Forum Name: Remaxesw
Notes: Just bought a mexican looking 76 chevy luv with a 350 engine and trany. It has a Camero rear end. All new gauges, and a full alpine system. When I bought it it had some crapy marron painted 14 X 6 tires that would cherp in 3rd gear. Moving up to a 15 X 8 and looking for some slicks for the new rims. My Luv is a convertible with a tan top and awaiting a new navy blue paint job.

Name: Ray
Location: WA USA
Forum Name: slamb777
Notes: Purchased this 4X4 LUV 5/06 & got it pretty cheap. These have always been great trucks. @ 177000 miles it has a lot of basic wear & tear, but it runs great. l would like to fix it up mechanically to be very reliable.

LUV: 1979 4x4
Name: James Wilson
Location: Moore, OK USA
Forum Name: WilsonZone
Notes: I originally purchased this to remove the body and place an '87 Camaro Z28 body on it (with t-tops), but I changed my mind. This is a work in progress, but it will be my wheelin' truck and I'll be fixing it up. Also the email address listed here is to prevent spammers (it still works, but I rarely check it).

LUV: 1981 Street
Name: Jim
Location: Philadelphia, PA USA
Forum Name: Jim's little truck
Notes: Bought it as third owner in 96, 52K original miles. She's been jazzed up a bit with mags, tires, and a cap. The former owner had the body fixed and painted with 10 coats of Porsche black and the cap a rich looking silver. Althought she's been sititng for awhile a quick wash and it shines like new. When I get a few minutes I'll update with a few pictures.

LUV: 1977 Street
Name: Jay Krusoff
Location: Kalispell, MT USA
Forum Name: dadsluv
Notes: 1977 Mikado with a 302 FORD V-8, C4 tranny, Dodge Dart rearend? Louvered hood and tailgate. I inherited this project from my father who passed away in 1996. This is still a work in progress, that I hope will be ready for paint this fall. In its present state looks are far behind performance. Thinking about Roadsterizing. Remove top altoghether and chop windshield down about 4". This would make it a fair weather driver/fun summer ride.

LUV: 1976
Name: Sarah
Location: Hanford, CA USA
Forum Name: firstLUV
Notes: My "76" Chevy LUV was the first vehicle I have ever owned. I wasn't planning on buying one, I came across it by accident, but I am so happy I made the decision to buy it! It does need work, it still has the Isuzu motor, it's a side step which I love, it needs a paint job, some small engine work, nothing I can't handle, If I keep putting money into it I think I can eventually have me a very nice LUV to show off. I am a VERY Proud owner, and I enjoy learning all I can about my truck :)
