Location: Skowhegan, Maine, ME USA
Forum Name: rusty68mgb
Notes: Hi, cornering the LUV market in Maine. I have a rusty low miles 1980 donor, a not running-not rusty 1978/79 maybe that would benefit from a driveline swap from the 1980 and an early series 1973/74 Florida truck. All are needy to some degree. All can go away except 1. I don't care which one. I just want a LUV to drive and call my own. Everything else goes. Home 207////474&&&&8988.Maine. I forgot my password or would post in classifieds. Thanks, Rick.11/16/2013

LUV: 1979 Daily Driver
Name: Neal Chaim Tobar-Dupres
Location: Portland, OR USA
Forum Name: Tobar-Dupres
Notes: 79' Luv Long-bed, my first and optimistically the last vehicle I own. I knew nothing about cars when I first bought it in 2010. I fell in luv with this truck and have self-taught myself general automotive mechanics and autobody/paint, wiring etc. I have : down to bare metal paint job (door jambs too,) etch primed, high build epoxy primed, basecoat/clearcoat jasmine yellow. replaced CV joints, put in new clutch kit, newer transmission, installed weber 32/36, new fuel pump, PUP elec. dizzy, removed smog equip, dropped in a rebuilt g180, replaced upper/lower control arm BJ's, new stabilizer bar linkages, after market stereo sub/amp/component speakers, rhinolined the bed as well as the floor of the cab. Id like to get new bushings for all the steering/suspension components that need them, and new tie rods. definitley need to get a fuelp pressure regulator for the weber, and want to lower it a couple inches.
