LUV: 1979 Daily Driver
Name: Russell N.
Location: Dumas, TX USA
Forum Name: rusn79
Notes: My little luv pickup is said to be kinda rare since it came with afew rare options on it like the...Mikado package, factory A/C(works), 3spd auto-transmission , along with accesory front bumper guards and has one of only two that I've ever seen with the optional am/fm stereo radio installed at the dealer when it was new and was a $140.00 extra at the time! My luv is stock and soild white with med-dark blue mikado interior with 89,000 orginal miles! And the only one I've seen with a factory installed passengerside rearview mirror. I purchased this luv in 1996 for $2,000.00 from the first owner who was an older gentalmen that just used it as a second vehical. Its really head turner when I take it out in town many people want it for race truck buts its too nice and complete to do that to it. I also have all the orginal paper work ect that came with when new!

Notes: Just purchased a 1974 LUV, the same year as my birth, and the same as my very first ever LUV - which I have missed ever since getting rid of it. It's got some problems - previous owner put an automatic in and a Ford v6 - I'm not sure about the V6, I may keep it, but I definitely need manual! Ideally a 5speed, if I can figure out what I'm doing. Also planning on putting an ABS dash cap in, redoing much of the interior, and scraping some juvenile nonfunctional vent some previous owner gooped on to the hood. Like it looks like somebody put a big blob of bondo on the hood, and then used it to glue a house vent on - crazy! Otherwise, the body is in surprisingly good shape, just two little dime-sized rust bubbles that need to be taken care of. I'm pretty excited to get this thing going again... just need a little more time!

Forum Name: Luvstruck
Notes: Second Dark blue Luv I have owned. Nothing special about it yet, but I have a 5.3 Chevy in the machine shop, and a 4l60e rebuilder I am going to go through. Bought a 3:42 posi out of a 96 Blazed from a salvage yard. It's a 7.625 which is what was in in my 02 Z-28 six speed, and it held up just fine. It will only see occasional strip use, more fun on the street.

Notes: The small truck had some hard times. It was used for farming. Sadly I cannot afford it anymore and would like to get rid of it. The body isn't in the best condition. but the engine works. Just needs a new battery and spark plugs. (restoration project)Its yellow and had some tiny changes to it. (Larger mirrors, New brake lines, etc..)

LUV: 1976 Daily Driver
Name: lynn finlayson
Location: Alliance, NE USA
Forum Name: iluv4ds
Notes: I blew a head gasket. was a super running motor, but couldn't keep a head gasket in it after that, so pulled the motor and trans. I had a 64 ford fairlane, 2 door sedan with 260v8 and wide ratio t10-4 speed with bench seat shifter. should have kept the fairlane. anyway, installed a bronco rear sump oil pan, and minor modifications to this and that, and it fit right in. drove it for years. sold it, then bought it back. still parked in the back yard, running when I parked it. has a 456 rearend, so is a butt load of fun to drive. looks stock. stock, single exhaust. got 20 mpg
