LUV: 1979 Daily Driver
Name: Justin Boyle
Location: Apex, NC USA
Forum Name: Holy LUV
Notes: 1979 Longbed 2wd daily driver. My church pastor gave me this truck in April and I LUV it. We named it Lazerus because he's been resurrected on a few occasions! It's so much fun to drive and I get more looks than the guy in the new Corvette! He's in rough shape with the typical rust problems and the roof is banged up from a tree limb that Fran dropped on him in 96. He's a work in progress and may eventually get a heart transplant in the way of a healthy 350 V8! But that's yet to be built, so I'll just keep driving him the way he is!

LUV: 1973 Street
Name: Darius Ball
Location: Manchester, KY USA
Notes: Everything but the tires is oringinal(still has the AM radio). The LUV runs great. I've had less problems out of it than my wife's new car. I just wish I knew what it was worth.

LUV: 1981 Street
Name: Casanova
Location: Lakeville, MN USA
Forum Name: FlamedLUV
Notes: The LUV is really beat up right now. Rusted and dented but the motor hasnt even turned 80,000 miles yet. I plan on turboing the LUV eventually to get some more power out of the slug...we'll see though!

LUV: 1978 Street/Strip
Name: Lee Marchbanks
Location: Caldwell, ID USA
Forum Name: pee_roy
Notes: It's a work in progress, but I have done a lot to it. First I took out that pathetic 4 cylinder, and I squeezed in a decked out 355 V8, a TH350, a solid peice drivline, 10 bolt rear-end, a Starshifter, really trick exhaust, Auto Meter monster tach, and all those goodies in it. I am so proud of this truck! I am only 17 years old and I spent the whole summer and more to get this truck drivable again. All that work that I have put in is so worth it! It's a lot faster than before, gets a lot more attention, and I luv being a Luv owner! You gotta Luv it!!! **UPDATE** Got a new Luv after the other one had kinda fallen apart. The new one is a 80 shortbox. I used alot fo the parts from the old truck to build this one. I rebuilt the motor woth a set of .125 dome KeithBlack pistons with GMPP rods. Put a fresh cast crank in it with new clevite bearings. Used the same intake and carb, along with the blockhuggers for the exhaust. I also swapped the Posi'd s10 rear into it too. The first tranny i used when i put the truck togetther was a 2004r, but that turned out to be a bad tranny, so i put a th350 in it. I also made homemade solid motor mounts that set the motor down low and back. There was still just nough room to use an HEI distributor though.

LUV: 1975 Street
Name: James Warner
Location: Wilton, CT USA
Notes: Bought it new in 1975. Put built 350 in it in 1977 but couldn't cool it well enough so swapped with 327 (300 HP). Truck has turbo 350 tranny and narrowed 12 bolt rear with Summers Bros axles. Reworked dash (Auto Meter gages) and trick paint. Put over 100,000 miles on it then in garage since 1988. Ready to go after it again (miss the fun!). I want to do the disc swap also during rebuild.
