LUV: 1979 Street
Name: Luke A. Frank
Location: Oregon City, OR USA
Notes: I have had this truck for 8 years now. The motor has about 250,000 miles on it and the frame has about 300,000 miles. This truck has lasted longer and had had less problems than any other vehicle that I have owned. I need to change the motor out soon, she runs really rough right now, but is still a daily driver. When I am done with it, I wild rename it "Light Utility Sport Truck - L.U.S.T. This pic is about 3 years old. I have done some body work on it last summer with plans to complete the work this spring/summer 05'.

LUV: 1980 4x4
Name: Bobby S.
Location: Buena Vista, CO USA
Forum Name: bbs_7
Notes: I bought my truck in the end of the summer of 2004 now in January we have the engine out and are getting ready to do a complete overhaul on the 1.8L 4 banger, I also plan on putting anywhere from a 3inch body lift to a 4 inch body lift with 30 9.5" tires on it. My truck is 4 wheel drive and it climbs very well but i needs a little body work (just little dents) I also am re-doing the interior shortly and gettting it ready for paint(not sure what paint job yet but i was thinking gun metal gray, any sugestions?). I am looking for many parts for it mainly the grill shell, the emblems from the side and emblems from the grill i also really need a new dash if anyone knows where to get these things please e mail me! Some more things I will be adding are a brush guard and a roll-bar. I'm 15 so hopefully I can get it ready in time!! I'll update the pics as i go, if anyone has suggestions please let me know, wait and see this will be one bad little truck when we're done!!!!!!

Name: Peaches
Location: Macon, GA USA
Forum Name: peaches
Notes: I bought my LUV new in 1978. Still drive it about once a week. I am the only owner. My truck has 114k miles on it. I have let a lot of rust form on it,any ideas to get rust off. I keep good tires on it and a current tag and insurance. A few people have tried to buy it but for some reason, I can not part with the LUV. When I bought my Luv in 78 it had no radio or AC, it still does't have AC. Would a new 4.3 Vortec fit ny frame?

LUV: 1977 Street/Strip
Name: Bill Thompson
Location: Simms, TX USA
Forum Name: luvtrucktnt
Notes: I always wanted a luv truck since I was a teenager, have owned several in the last 7 years.Only have one now. When I was 18 or 19 I was living in Dallas and went to buy a luv that was already set up for a chevy v-8 and the guy couldnt sell me the truck because some-one had left him a deposit on it,the reason I wanted one so bad is because I was at the street races in Dallas and had been going to them for years and I seen this primer gray luv kick ass on all the cars and trucks there, then beat all the motorcycles.I was sold, since then I have built myself a luv truck, and like it too much because I spend more money and time with it than I do anything else.Even though I built the luv I still like the bikes nothing like the open air at 200 mph,or running low 9.s in the quarter or high 5.s in the 1/8th for way less money than I have in my luv.But the luv is still cool atleast when I leave the club I dont get wet when it rains hehehe.
