Location: Sacramento, CA USA
Forum Name: johnnyluv82
Notes: I got my LUV when I was a freshman in high school; since then I've had it painted and I had the seat and carpet refurbished. A few years ago I put an aftermarket stereo system in. It still has a 1.8L engine. I'm looking for mostly cosmedic parts. I want to restore it to an original conditions with some high tech modifications. I'm very happy with my LUV and I'll never get rid of it.

Forum Name: littleray
Notes: This is the third time i have owned this truck. 1.8L gas with 4sp trans. I parked the 75 F350 and found this truck to work out of again. Little truck gets 25+mpg vs 9mpg for big truck. No contest with gas at $2.20/gal.It looks bad but starts and runs everyday.

LUV: 1980 4x4
Name: Big Daddy Perch
Location: Cincinnati, OH USA
Forum Name: Big daddy luv
Notes: Tis truck is a good 4x4 and it is an all around good running truck.I've crashed it off a 20 foot hill and rolled it 4 times and it doesn't even have a scratch on it. It has also been upgraded to be completely bullet proof so the cops cant stop me when i rob banks. It has a 383 stroker bored 35 thousandths over and will run low 5's but that is in four wheel drive. I havn't took it down the strip in 2 wheel yet but i would say that i could hit low fours with it though. It has only been stuck in a 4 and a half foot deep mud hole but i dropped her in 4 wheel and kicked in the nos and turbos and pulled right out of it. When it rock crawled i rolled it down a 195 foot rock face but with my scratch resistant sides and dent resistant sides it never scratched it or dented it. It has one major mechanical defect though, at 220 the wheel and the gear shifter starts to shake a little but i don't know what thats from but as long as you hold your hands tight it won't hurt anything. Last year it took 1st at the 20 feet deep mud run because i got a 150 mph run at the pit and hydroplaned across it. all the other competitors sunk and died. Well thats about half the stuff thats happened in it.Oh and its also submersible.

Forum Name: 79luvmud
Notes: 79 4wd short bed, no grill, no doors, camo krylon paint job, cut the fenders out & stuffed 33/9.50r15 under it, stock drive train, stock suspension, theres nothing I love more than taking this luv out and beating it up at the trails, it won't go thru every mud hole but it will go thru some stuff you wouldn't expect

LUV: 1979 4x4
Name: Joe Murt
Location: Nezperce, ID USA
Forum Name: retarted idiot
Notes: It's a really nice piece of crap. It has a rebuilt motor(1.8), and a crappy tape player in it. It has puny tires, but the four wheel drive works great. I also can't drive a manual to well. It's white and primer gray. If it looks any better, I might submit a photo!!!!!!!!

Name: Steve Gold
Location: Zebulon, NC USA

Notes: I just got my truck 1 month ago. I love it . I just wish it had a fifth gear. I'm slowly going to restore it. The motor is rebuilt 30 over new carb. 4 wheel drive. 4 wheel high pops out of gear. i just hope it is a easy fix.

Notes: i have an O.G. 72 luv with origional crusted paint, torn interior, blown motor, and flat stock rims and tires. On the bright side i bought the truck for $50 and the body is in really good condition (besides the paint of course). i'm going to make it the sickest show luv in existance.

LUV: 1977 Street
Name: Charles Faires
Location: Nezperce, ID USA
Forum Name: me
Notes: What makes my truck unique is htat fact that it DON'T RUN. I just droped a valve in the wore out 1.8. I also have absolutely no emmissions, and I have a bad berring on the crank. Other than that, it's a piece of crap. It's taken a lot of crap in the last rebuilld. So at least it's good for that. I have a hundred mile an hour tape (duct tape) holding the dash together. A bad motor, and PIK STRIPS and ROSES on a black LUV. It's hideous. After new motor and paint job, you might see the picture on this site.
