LUV: 1972 Daily Driver
Name: Richard Manseri
Location: Lancaster, CA USA
Forum Name: coastieluv
Notes: Just recently acquired a 78 luv for free and while looking for a donor found a pristine 72 for sale, 100 bucks. Only damage was a fire in the engine bay wich is fine, since I plan on doing a mild v-6 swap. Keeping the 72 fairly stock on appearence, going for the sleeper look. As for the 78 plan on putting it on some s-10 4x4 running gear with a v-8 swap as well. I've got three years left here in the desert before i transfer so I'm gonna have a little fun. Maybe even enter the 78 in the local tough truck races. Dont have any pictures as of yet, but will hopefully have some here soon. Would appreciate any help on finding parts suppliers for these trucks. Any help feel free to email me.

Name: Phil
Location: Ozark, MO USA
Forum Name: philhooge
Notes: Hello to all, I have a 74 for sale. I am the third owner and she has lived most her life in a garage. I have all the documentation for her including the original rims and hub caps that are in great shape. I am asking $2,500 for her. She is completely original. She has 50547 original miles. She is currently not running because of the water pump. It had gone bad and I got the replacement and was changing it and one of the bolts broke off in the block. I have not had the time to finish the project and am just needing to sell her so that we can move. I have attached some pictures for you to look at as well. If you are interested please call me at 417-877-9018.

LUV: 1980 Daily Driver
Name: Bill Burmeister
Location: Caldwell, ID USA
Forum Name: Bill, Idaho
Notes: Bought in about 1986 for $400, with 80,000 miles. Bed was stuffed full of extra alternators, doors, engine, water pumps, etc. I am on my second engine (with the starter out of the original engine) and now have more than 500,000 miles on it. The speedo broke about 5 years ago! Tranny, both the front and rear-ends are original, a handful of head-gaskets, 3 clutches, but otherwise, the TOUGHEST truck ever made. (Also the ugliest) Goal is put 1 million miles on it. It has a front bumper off of a semi! Home made stainless-steel roll bar and stainless-steel rear bumper that doubles as an air tank for my on-board compressor.

LUV: 1979 On/Off Road
Name: Dennis Lambert
Location: Pinole, CA USA
Forum Name: dllbert
Notes: Bought it 15 years ago for $20...basically, the gas money to tow it to my house. The reason it was so cheap is because the guy that sold it did not even own it! It had been abandoned in his front yard, which I suppose happens a lot in north Richmond, or so he said...anyway he said that was not an issue because he knew how I could make it mine through lien sale. So 62 days later all the legal stuff arrives, now the fun begins. New motor, glass, battery, tires, too many trips to salvage yards to count...my truck must have bits and pieces from about 50 other LUV trucks. Been running strong since then...though this year I had some troubles getting emissions under the allowable limits for CA It would be cool to get together with other LUV'ers...but not in a gay way, not that there's anything wrong with that. ;) -bert
