LUV: 1978 Street
Name: Lane Brueland
Location: Boone, IA USA
Forum Name: limegreen78
Notes: 1978 wih original engine, only 67,000 miles Lime green with fiberglass stepside fenders makes it stand out anywhere. With headers and an aftermarket exhaust it puts out enough torque to give the tires a run for their money.

LUV: 1974 Street
Name: Al
Location: Woodland, WA USA
Forum Name: Rainydaytruck
Notes: Got my hands on a 1974 LUV that was introduced to a slugehammer, after all the body work, she is a black with red stripes with a matching tonneau cover. Replaced the rear window with plexiglass and cut out the back wall for woofers. Also have gutted the old mazda engine and replaced it with a 94' 3.4 out of a Camaro, along with the transmission. Since we had no use for the powered sterring unit and the A/C pump, gutted that and ran a smaller belt with a larger pulley for the water pump. Replaced the radiator for the one out of a Firebird, and have wired the PCM for the engine to the LUV. The interior was ripped and was replaced along with the seats, with a set out of a S-15 truck, and put the Camaro gauge cluster on the dash. Modified it with switches to run everything and replaced the gas tank with one out of the S-15 truck. True dual exhaust straight piped, all done with 2" pipe and a pipe bender. Almost finished with all of the wiring for the lights and window wipers, it runs and sounds mean, looking to have it driving in about a month. After this enngine, we have a 3.8 engine and are looking to put rollers, a supercharger and possible turbos on it. This is one Hell of a truck and the posibilities are endless. Ultimately this project truck was for a good mileage rainy day truck, when I coulden't ride my Motorcycle. Just look at what happened. I will hopefuly get some pics together to post. Out.

LUV: 1980 4x4
Name: Tim
Location: Rapid City, SD USA
Forum Name: Tank
Notes: I got my beast 1980 luv in 2002 for $225. I took the 1.8 liter tug boat motor out that stills runs like a champ, with about 600,000 miles on it. I put a 1966, 283 in it and, a muncie 4 speed to back it up and an NP205 transfer case to back that up.After searching almost every inch of my community for the axles I HAD TO HAVE, I finally found my 3/4 ton axles sitting under an older frankenstiened 1979 chevy short box. I finally got my beast on the road and into the Black Hills Trails, when I bought the one and only 38.5x11x16 Super Swamper Boggers for it.I spent most of my teenage years working on the LUV of my life. Now that I look back and see what I did with all of my time. I still hope that many others after me can enjoy the beefness of stock chevy luvs, and project luvs.
