LUV: 1973 Show Truck
Name: Garland Farris III
Location: Greensboro, NC USA
Notes: I dragged this truck out from a friends backyard(forest), we actaully had to cut down trees to get it out. It has gone thru a total transformation. The luv was all rusted out, rockers, lower doors, bed floor and cowl area all had to be replaced. My vision for the truck is to have a clean smooth look like some of high end hot rods. I used a set of good 77 doors w/one piece glass no vent win. Filled all side marker lights and gas fill. Custom front end was hand fab out of steel with fog lights and custom grill made. Exhaust tips recessed in bed exit behind tires. Hand fab rear roll pan with bowtie tail lights. Gas fill is now in bed with alum gas door. Sliding rag top installed. Dash was cut out and custom one added with custom consoul. TPI gauges in custom made alumm panel and hand made heat controls out of alum. Dash wraps around into custom door panels. All interior pieces are hand made. Chevy 350 with a turbo 350 trans and a s-10 rear end. Front has 5 lug conv w/vega rotors (How to on LUVTRUCK.com)and Camero SS 17in wheels all the way around. This truck was my first on a frame off build. I taught my self to weld, fab with metal and paint. I have done everything to this truck at this point but the only thing I won't be able to do is the seats and carpet. It has been 3 years in the making and I really can't wait to enjoy. Its amazing how creative you have to be when you use simple hand/power tools.

LUV: 1976 Street
Name: Kelly
Location: Sunland, CA USA
Forum Name: kelly22
Notes: I have owned my light blue 1976 LUV since 1985 and it is still going. It isn't my primary car anymore, but I really have had good memories with this truck, even though I have had periods where it has given me fits. I am now starting to restore it back to like it was when it was purchased by the previous owner in 1975. I want it to be straight stock looking, but I might put a V6 engine in it. Right now it has 230k miles (30k pushing it) with original everything except I had to have a rebuilt rear end put in it a few years ago and it has been repainted the same color once. It is quite nice looking and I often get asked if I want to sell it. I hope to learn about what others are doing with their trucks and find parts or gain ideas as i fix mine up.

LUV: 1979 On/Off Road
Name: AL
Location: OAK HARBOR, WA USA
Notes: This yellow luv is the eleventh luv I've owned yet only the 2nd 4x4. I always ran fullsize trucks for mountain wheeling and mud flinging until I bought a 1980 luv 4x4 for 600 dollars and took it on a wheeling trip instead of my Dodge. A buddy talked me out of that one and I regreted it. I now have a 1979 4x4 thats running a mildly built original 1.8 Isuzu ,Webber downdraft, 4 into 1 tuned header, and 30 9.5 15 rubber. also sports chrome double tube bumpers, diamond plate aluminum Delta truck box and a custom built ladder rack. Even with all the extra weight this truck is quick for a rice burning 4 banger! straight axle conversion coming soon.

LUV: 1978 Street
Name: Wendell
Location: Dillwyn, VA USA
Notes: Had this Luv for 14 years. I do everything with it. Needs some minor body work to it but it does what I want it to do. It's a 1978 Chevy Luv Stepside Was told that only five hundred was made. Has 15 inch tires and wheels on it. Still has the 1.8 4cyl motor but runs like a v8.

LUV: 1978 Daily Driver
Name: John Merritt
Location: Covington, WA USA
Forum Name: FullaLuv
Notes: My LUV was given to me. It was dilapidated, rusty, and abandoned. I restored it with the help of members of this website, and took over 2000 photos while I was doing it. I have a rebuilt engine, a restored floorpan, and many new and replaced parts throughout. I would be happy to share my experience with any inquiry.

LUV: 1977 Daily Driver
Name: Allen Adams
Location: Liberty, SC USA
Notes: Just picked this one up and it has only 55,000 original miles. But, it does need some interior work and a bed. Reminds me of the 72 I had in the late 70's and early 80's.
