LUV: 1978 Street
Name: Allen
Location: USA
Forum Name: Lighttruck01
Notes: It runs, and runs, and runs even after 30 years. How any vehicle with as much rust as this one has can still run as good as it does. I swear, if I hit a big enough bump in the road, I would be standing in the middle of the road holding a steering wheel with the engine still running in a big pile of rust. I have since welded a lot of it back together trying to restore it. It is still a good vehicle. It still has it's original 1.8 Litre engine and automatic transmission. (I have pics but I don't know how to get it on here)

Notes: we bought this truck from a friend for 600.00 bucks. It spent most of its life in Nevada but now lives in Washington. We plan on lowering it and adding some ground effects after we find a supercharged V6, pretty cool huh?

LUV: 1979 Show Truck
Name: Leo Ygeal Jr.
Location: Goetzville, MI USA
Forum Name: GoetzvilleLUV
Notes: Like my brother said completely original. NO, rust and only one dent that you really have to examine the truck to find. We have the original rubber and rims that came on the truck when it was bought; but we have put new rubber and 8-spoke chrome rims, that was done about 5 years ago. The Bright Yellow pant has faded; and the paint has started to chip inside the bed, nothing like a little resto-t.l.c to make it shine. In the summer we take it to car shows like the St. Ignace Car Show; St. Ignace, Michigan, and local summerfest and 4th of July parades.

LUV: 1978 Street
Name: W. Ed Whisenant
Location: Granite Falls, NC USA
Notes: My little truck belonged to my grandfather who drove it everywhere. He was a high school math/science teacher for nearly 40 years. And it is the only truck of any kind I'd ever known im to own. He used it to haul cow feed and farm supplies and he drove it to the high school monday - friday He has since died (November 15th 1991) and My grandmother could not bear to let it out of her site....So she finally allowed he wishes to be fullfilled and my uncle (his son) called me thirteen years later and said come andget "Pop's" truck and I have had it now about two years and have just started to restore it back to "parade worthy" statis...and hope to get things back in order......140,000 miles two wheel drive short bed, powder blue....and still runs great. Glad to read others have these fun little trucks too. Respectfully, Ed in North Carolina

LUV: 1981 On/Off Road
Name: Bill Norris
Location: Killeen, TX USA
Forum Name: Son
Notes: I bought this truck last year for 700 off my dad, it has been passed all over the family. I am the last to get it and I am restoring it now there are only 4 things i hate about it the inside door handles the electronic choke{thinking about making it man}and the dash. right now I am about to replace the oil-pan gasket which sucks cause it's 4x4 but I love this truck, I was offered 3000 for it and refused because it was the first truck i really luv-ed. but before my dad bought it, it belonged to a family friend who pushed it and tore it up and hauled way more than it should have so it has had a lot of work and i plan on a lot more it runs and looks great but I want to make it something everyone wants so watch for pics
