Notes: My grandpa had bought this truck new in 1980 and when he died he gave it to my mom who said I could have it when I was old enough. Now a restoration job is in the making. The truck is bone stock. I am going for a custom restoration, leaving the stock motor in it being how it only has 47000 miles on it. It has a roll bar and a black paint job with a wide white stripe down the side outlined with orange and yellow. When I start it in spring, I will post some pictures in the gallery.

LUV: 1976 Street/Strip
Name: Mike Anatra
Location: Houston (BY GOD), TX USA
Forum Name: Cheapskate racing
Notes: I just purchased this truck for 575.00 dollars and I love it. I've always wanted one. I sold a 72 full size chevy with a 383 stroker and I miss the power and the excitement of blasting through the quater mile. I've got plans to install a 625 horsepower small block, turbo 350 tranny and a ford nine inch. I like the body style and the look of the truck. It's all original even has the working a/c, I wanna try and retain this throughout the v8 transformation. It gets a little warm here in the summer, no matter how fast your ride is you don't look good in it sweatting buckets!

LUV: 1976 Strip
Name: WM Racing
Location: Union City, TN USA
Notes: We bought the truck for $900 with a V8 already in it. We then took the motor out. We built a new 355 with 30 over flattops, 292/501 Comp Cams, 461 heads with 202/160, Z28 valve springs, Team G intake, Hooker Headers, 750 Edelbrock, 410 gears, Turbo 350, a 4500 stall and 26/10 Mickey Thompson's. In all, we have only $800 in motor. The truck runs very good for what we have in it. It's best run is a 6.90 @ 98 mph. It pulls 1.45 sixty foots. WITH NO NOS. People at our track can't believe that.
