LUV: 1975 Daily Driver
Name: Chad Harlow
Location: Tahlequah, OK USA
Notes: I bought my luv for $200.00 I planned on putting a v8 in it but when I went to pick it up I found out that the truck was all original and in good cond. and that I was going to be the 2nd owner. The body is perfectly straight with a little bit of rust under both doors. The seat was pretty much shot and so was the dash, but I am putting bucket seats in it, and have already ordered a new dash pad. The inside of the bed is perfect not a single dent in it, the old man I bought it from kept a rubber mat in the bed, and said he hardly ever hauled anything in it. I decided to leave it as just a clean/stock every day driver. I also bought a 1973 luv that I found setting in the yard of a trailor shop. I only paid $50.00 for it and the body is OK it has a little bit of rust, and it has been sitting out in the weather for the last couple of years with out any glass in it. I plan to drop a good strong 350 in it sometime next year.

LUV: 1977 Street
Name: Tim
Location: South, AL USA
Forum Name: truluv65
Notes: Got the 77'truck in 1980 at 15 years old,29000 miles. Drove it for 200,000 miles and pulled the 4 banger out and put the 355 in it after my Dad said, "It won't go in there". That was 1991.Ran it at the strip that year and turned 8.00s and 20s....burning the 215x14" skins most all the way. The engine was 76cc pocket ported/port matched, single points with stock coil,4 bolt,TRW forged pistons, polished rods, sps rod bolts, zoom double roller,Lunati Bracket Master II, Performer RPM, Double Pumper, and other goodies. It turned over 7 grand but I shifted around 6. To make a long story short the engine was pulled for a complete resto and it was stolen.Bummer..it let all the air out of my balloon. With a kid and more responsibilities I put it on the back burner until last year in 2002.What a mess it was. New engine and drivetrain: 360 Chevy,Flat Tops,2.02/1.60 Swirled Stainless,64cc pocket ported/port matched,Polished Rod Beams W/ARP bolts,Melling High Pressure,Lunati cam 1 degree advanced,Dynagear double roller,Block Hugger Headers,Weiand single plane,Double Pumper,TH350 w/3000 stall,4:11 gears, aluminum radiator, billet pulleys,1 wire alternator,Autogage,Mallory,20,000 GVW trannie cooler with fan mounted under bed. Like the energizer bunny I could go on and on and on.Soooo, almost everything has been off or out except the cab.Everything was done at my home with exception of machine work on the block and heads by Gordon and sandblasting by "Rover". Goin' with 8" or 10" slicks this time shooting for 7s in the 8th.Then maybe some supercharging for 6s...he he. This will be my "SUVLUV"........ smiles. This will be mostly used for the street. Hope to take it to the Chevy Show in June just to cruise around and check out the swap meet.

LUV: 1974 Daily Driver
Name: Bob Washburn
Location: Claremore, OK USA
Forum Name: moose
Notes: I bought it new in 74. I rebuilt the stock motor when my son started to drive. That was about 7 years ago and it still runs great. This coming fall we are going to rebuild it again, but this time we aren't going back stock. The 4 cylinder is coming out and the top is coming off. A 350 with 6 speed is going under the hood and we plan to turn it into a fun little roadster.

LUV: 1981 Daily Driver
Name: Ray Clinger
Location: Navare, FL USA
Forum Name: Ray
Notes: My 1981 Chevy LUV truck was bought new by my father-in-law. Over the past two years my brother-in-law had just about rebuilt or replaced everything on the truck. I got the truck from him in April when I found out it was for sell. It's a great little truck and the only truck my father-in-law ever owned. My father-in-law passed away on April 24 of this year and I know he would be prowd of me for keeping the truck in the family. The truck will get a fresh paint job and a few other up-grades. It makes a great truck to go to work in.

Name: Michael Mathis
Location: Aurora, IN USA
Forum Name: skyway72
Notes: Paid $550 for one running and one parts truck with everything except front axle and bed. Had complete engine, but torn apart. Now everything except body has been replaced or rebuilt on the running LUV. Got more into it than it's worth, but that's what LUV's about!! No power on the road, but gets 25MPG and does well on the off road hills of IN! Anyone know if you can convert a 2WD to a 4WD?

LUV: 1979 4x4
Name: Donavan
Location: Centralia, WA USA
Forum Name: me_2_3_5
Notes: My 1979 Chevy luv has nothing really special. It's got a 3 inch body lift and 31 inch tires. It's got a header and a cherry bomb on it so it sounds cool. I don't know how much HP it's got. Me and my Grandpa made the winch bumper pretty much from scratch so it's pretty strong.

LUV: 1972 Street
Name: Brian C
Location: Whittier, CA USA
Forum Name: Specfire
Notes: I was given this truck by my dad in early 2003, and i started modifying it as soon as possible. So far, I have the mirrors shaved, the taillights shaved, the interior is gutted, i hav 14 inch rims in front, and 15 inch rims in back, a front bumper off of a 2003 corolla, which is in the process of being molded on, and the front end is slammed about 6 inches(the bumpstops were shaved 2 inches). I hope to paint the truck soon, bergandy and charcoal, and drop in a 350 for some power.
