Notes: My Luv is alittle unqiue in the since it has had a '76 ford
mustang v-6, C-4 auto installed in it before aquired it. Buz is what I named it. This Luv is a '79 Mikado series, and has factory air and orginally equipped with an factory automatic,
but as mentioned before it has a c-4 now. The truck is solid white with a blue mikado interior all orginal except for the floor mats, other then that it is basically alittle get around truck. |

Notes: My truck is in the works right now to becoming a high 5 second drag truck (1/8 mile). I have owned it for around three years now and have done alot of chassis fabrications. To include pulling out the stock 4 banger and setting a 383 nitrous sbc with powerglide 10" back from the stock 4 cylinder location, so alot of firewall fabrication had to be done. In the rear I have a narrowed 9" stuffed with all the goodies and ladderbars to help aid in some wheelstands. In addition to that the I cut and moved the rear framerails in for more tire clearance. To tie everything up I installed a 12 point roll cage. My truck has along way to go and has been a slow process but when it is done it will be worth the wait. |

Notes: 1979 Longbed 2wd daily driver. My church pastor gave me this truck in April and I LUV it. We named it Lazerus because he's been resurrected on a few occasions! It's so much fun to drive and I get more looks than the guy in the new Corvette! He's in rough shape with the typical rust problems and the roof is banged up from a tree limb that Fran dropped on him in 96. He's a work in progress and may eventually get a heart transplant in the way of a healthy 350 V8! But that's yet to be built, so I'll just keep driving him the way he is! |

Notes: It's a work in progress, but I have done a lot to it. First I took out that pathetic 4 cylinder, and I squeezed in a decked out 355 V8, a TH350, a solid peice drivline, 10 bolt rear-end, a Starshifter, really trick exhaust, Auto Meter monster tach, and all those goodies in it. I am so proud of this truck! I am only 17 years old and I spent the whole summer and more to get this truck drivable again. All that work that I have put in is so worth it! It's a lot faster than before, gets a lot more attention, and I luv being a Luv owner! You gotta Luv it!!!
**UPDATE**
Got a new Luv after the other one had kinda fallen apart. The new one is a 80 shortbox. I used alot fo the parts from the old truck to build this one. I rebuilt the motor woth a set of .125 dome KeithBlack pistons with GMPP rods. Put a fresh cast crank in it with new clevite bearings. Used the same intake and carb, along with the blockhuggers for the exhaust. I also swapped the Posi'd s10 rear into it too. The first tranny i used when i put the truck togetther was a 2004r, but that turned out to be a bad tranny, so i put a th350 in it. I also made homemade solid motor mounts that set the motor down low and back. There was still just nough room to use an HEI distributor though. |
