LUV: 1980 4x4
Name: Tim
Location: Rapid City, SD USA
Forum Name: Tank
Notes: I got my beast 1980 luv in 2002 for $225. I took the 1.8 liter tug boat motor out that stills runs like a champ, with about 600,000 miles on it. I put a 1966, 283 in it and, a muncie 4 speed to back it up and an NP205 transfer case to back that up.After searching almost every inch of my community for the axles I HAD TO HAVE, I finally found my 3/4 ton axles sitting under an older frankenstiened 1979 chevy short box. I finally got my beast on the road and into the Black Hills Trails, when I bought the one and only 38.5x11x16 Super Swamper Boggers for it.I spent most of my teenage years working on the LUV of my life. Now that I look back and see what I did with all of my time. I still hope that many others after me can enjoy the beefness of stock chevy luvs, and project luvs.

LUV: 1981 4x4
Name: Christine
Location: Brookings, OR USA
Forum Name: prplluv
Notes: Our friend owed us $350.00 and I kept messing around with him about taking the truck if he couldn't pay me back. He finally gave in after he blew the head gasket. My husband and I tore it all apart, put a new head gasket, rattle caned a paint job (camo. wasn't me) and took it to the hills. Now I'm addicted to the damn thing! Funniest thing I’ve ever owned his name “Little Courage”.

LUV: 1972 Daily Driver
Name: Richard Manseri
Location: Lancaster, CA USA
Forum Name: coastieluv
Notes: Just recently acquired a 78 luv for free and while looking for a donor found a pristine 72 for sale, 100 bucks. Only damage was a fire in the engine bay wich is fine, since I plan on doing a mild v-6 swap. Keeping the 72 fairly stock on appearence, going for the sleeper look. As for the 78 plan on putting it on some s-10 4x4 running gear with a v-8 swap as well. I've got three years left here in the desert before i transfer so I'm gonna have a little fun. Maybe even enter the 78 in the local tough truck races. Dont have any pictures as of yet, but will hopefully have some here soon. Would appreciate any help on finding parts suppliers for these trucks. Any help feel free to email me.
