LUV: 1976 Street/Strip

Notes: I like my truck because it is a 76 with the stepside bed. Modifications include a 3.8 liter v6 hooked up to a 350 turbo transmission with a b & m rachet shifter to a modified drive shaft with a stock rearend. It is fast but not fast enough I am waiting for a chevy 350 small block motor to put in. Then maybe it will be a nice looking fast truck.

LUV: 1979 Daily Driver
Name: Debbie Gannon
Location: Boise, ID USA
Forum Name: tuffluv
Notes: I bought my Luv brand new in 1979. It is the only new vehicle that I have ever bought. It is a 4 x 4, black with the red Mikado package and bucket seats. Everything is original and it only has 148,000 miles. When I purchased this truck, I told everyone that I would never sell it, and I have never had a reason to change my mind. The padded dash is toast, but I was able to salvage an intact one from a junk yard. Does anyone have any info on how to get this restored? FYI, I paid $7250.00 for my Luv and it has been a great investment.

LUV: 1980 Street
Name: David Biorn
Location: Evanston, WY USA
Forum Name: David
Notes: My 1980 chevy luv was bought in 1983 for a little run around vehicle. But my dad started driving it and kind of took it over. And he's been driving her ever since. My dad took out the old 1.8 liter engine and put a 2.0 liter in. She still has her same rearends, transmition, etc. The truck has 207,000 miles on the clock. Been painted onece in 1086 by him. The only thing thats wrong with her running gear is her major oil leak coming from the timing jain cover. The body is a hole other story. The cab is so rusted out on the bottom that I am looking for a used one thats in good shape, no rust, no dents. Well, I know she really isnt unique, but thats what both, by dad and I are driving right now. Oh, she has two tanks not, we can get up to 21 in town and 27 or 8 on the highway! I am hoping to get her fixed up by this summer.
